Evillusion Supersonic March 17, 2017 Share March 17, 2017 Drinking tea could cut risk of dementia: NUS SINGAPORE – Drinking tea regularly could lower the risk of cognitive decline among the elderly by half, and among those genetically inclined to develop Alzheimer’s disease by up to 86 per cent, National University of Singapore (NUS) researchers have found. The study, led by Dr Feng Lei of NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine’s psychological medicine department, was conducted over several years on 957 Chinese seniors aged 55 and above. Results would be consistent across races, said the researchers in a press release issued by NUS on Thursday (March 16). Dr Feng explained that the long-term benefit of tea consumption comes from the bioactive compounds in tea leaves, such as catechins and theaflavins. “These compounds exhibit anti-inflammatory and antioxidant potential and other bioactive properties that may protect the brain from vascular damage and neurodegeneration,” he said. It does not matter what type of tea it is — green, black, or oolong — as long as the beverage is brewed from tea leaves. ..... http://www.todayonline.com/singapore/cup-tea-day-can-keep-dementia-away-nus-study now must get really really close with my wife's relatives. Trouble is one study says one thing another study says completely the opposite. As I understand it coffee may not be good for the heart but may help delay dementia. I think it is the caffeine in coffee which is the active ingredient in both instances.
Still2016 Twincharged March 17, 2017 Share March 17, 2017 Oh! You are which no clone? 27x? @jman888 asking ð Your memory seems more affected than we all suspect. Oh Dear. Let me try and help. I am your long lost bro. We surprisingly met when I was confused about whether it is you or me then you applied electric shock to me. For a while I was equally confused like you now about whether I am his or her. But all the time I pretended to be interested in cars to gain access to your BM. Being smarter now I wear an electric insulating suit and somehow my electrical quota (EQ) improves. I am going to break the tradition from being politically correct for the demented. You are a real pain for every hole in the human body. BUT even if you are not a mod, you are a good friend to have because you walk the talk about loyalty. I guess we must be more tolerant to our in house demented mod. PS my postings are getting shorter. Hopefully will not becone zero. You really take good care of your body since your mind already off.
