In our MCF theory is, 引琴,三孔火 it means 1 of the cylinder misfire and MRT is due for workshop servicing and maintenance [:p]

It should be 引"擎", 三孔火 not 引"琴",三孔火.

One refers to engine while the other refers to musical instrument. [:)]

Did the Taiwanese claim their MRT as world class transport? Maybe we are of different world as Taiwanese. :D

Cracked rail still safe for travel meh?

Later train derail how?

SINGAPORE: MRT commuters along the North-South Line were experiencing delays as at 7.30pm Monday.

SMRT told Channel NewsAsia that the delay was believed to be due to a track fault.

The affected stations were Somerset and Orchard.

SMRT said commuters along the stretch of line would experience delays of about 10 minutes.

That's because trains have to travel slower across the affected stretch, as a safety precaution.

One commuter told Channel NewsAsia he managed to get on a train from Orchard after a 45-minute wait. He said it took around 20 minutes for staff to announce the train service delay.

SMRT tweeted at 7:40pm that its staff were working to recover service. It added SMRT engineers will rectify the fault after passenger service hours.

In a later update, SMRT said the track fault is believed to be caused by a rail crack. It said trains are safe for service but travelling at slower speed as a safety precaution.

Only the northbound stretch from Somerset and Orchard stations are affected.

SMRT said there's an estimated additional 10 minutes of travel time from Marina Bay station towards Ang Mo Kio.

In a separate incident, commuters were de-trained at the Newton Station at about 6pm Monday.

SMRT said the faulty train was taken out of service. This resulted in longer travelling time for commuters during the peak hour.

It added the issue was resolved at about 6.30pm.

Wonder where they got the 10mins delay from? From the template? Sure not from the actual ground zero data ... [:p]
