I need to send my car to Johor workshop for some minor engine work. The job needs 2 days to complete.

I wonder what do you all do if a job needs 2 days? Rent a room in johor and stay there overnight? Or come back to SG and return the next day (sounds quite tedious).

1) If you trust the mechanic, ask your mechanic to pick-up your car near immgration check point, then you may U-Turn and go home to wait for his "ready" recall.

2) If you don't trust the mechanic, send in the car and glue to it untill workshop closing on the first day of repairing, then check-in budget hotel for a night sleep, next morning wait for the mechanic to open his door and remain glueing with your car untill it is ready for collection.

3) During your stay for the night, you may go City Square for window shopping, bluewave hotel 5th.floor spa for massage or some small KTV's in the town areas for singings.

really much cheaper to repair car in jb to warrant such inconvenience ?

Actually it's subjective as TS may not have known any in Sillypore who is good & reasonable or maybe TS is driving a Proton?

For me I will not leave my car out of my sight for a couple of hours.

Unless you can trust them that they will not dismantle and swope parts from your car.

It depends where the workshop is. If far from Causeway and you don't know your way around, then check-in a nearby motel or hotel.

If workshop near Causeway, you could choose to go back SG, or have a "nights out" in JB town (lots of happenings there nowadays...KSL, City Square, Danga Bay, etc).

Fong Sir's suggestion points 1-2 is great! [thumbsup]

But must note that if its a big authorised repair centre, eg. Proton Edar In Plentong, then no point being glued there cos they won't allow you into the workshop area anyway...you can only watch from the viewing gallery.

For point 3 - Bluewave hotel massage still there? I've heard of this place since the 1990s...good or not their massage skills har? [:p]

Hi, TVT,

I assumed all sg.reg. proton cars are not in their AD.WS interest to do major servicing, therefore offer these down to earth ideas.

Bluewave Spa is still worth going, can see girls walk around with less than 0.5 yard of cloth covering their body along the corridor, the other entertainments like buffet meals, Sauna, steam bath, hot/cold water pools and showers, movies and internet to surf MCF is super convenience as well as to relax and busy eating or by doing nothings.

You jio me ? I'll be right there(Bluewave Hotel 5th Level) waiting for you [nod]
