Car Key Transponder working weirdly at Bukit Timah

Happen to encounter this weird issue.

 

Was at Bukit Timah along Dunearn road.

I stopped by my car and tried to lock the car.......LED indicator did lit up but car did not respond.

Tried many times from different angle of car......no difference.

 

But when i tried unlocking button......car responded.

Locked up my car using key first.

 

After i left the place......the car key transponder works perfectly well for both lock and unlock.

Anyone had such experience to share what's the reason for occurrence?

Yes. The issue also happen at Rail Mall.

I think the radio antenna there is too strong untill it affected the car remote.

Singtel tower and Mediacorp tower are located there.

meaning got very strong interference there..i think u can lodge a complaint to IDA.

When you have problems with the transponder, make sure when the car is finally locked, either by transponder or manually, all doors are securely locked as there might be a possibilty of one left unlocked if there is a problem with the locking mechanism.
