How safe to put car overnight in mersing jety?

hi..,

can someone give opinion, how safe to put car over night(5 nights) in mersing jetty car park?

or better take bus if want go to tioman with big family

Better to be safe then sorry. Few years back my friends lost 5 cars and went to the local station to file missing car reports. Was told to bring rm10k each the next days. Sure enough 5 cars all washed n parked in front of the station waiting for them.

If it's a open car park in Malaysia, no where is safe ba

 

Only genting I feel safest in Malaysia

 

But my cousin always drive up mersing for his fishing trips

Depends on what car make & the condition. No point using steering lock as the car can be loaded on a flatbed & taken away.

 

Better charter private van or minibus.

quite safe as the cp is fence up. few year back i park there also no problem. a few of my fellow divers also drive up there n park over the weekend. so far no problem. even saw bmw and some other lux car park there also.

Yes, only Genting is safest [laugh] but i don drive there since it is not right to park at the cold weather for 8-10 days

Alternative parking lot there is .Go park at seri malaysia hotel nearby and inform the hotel there.Can oso. [cool]

Hi,

 

if any of u guys heading to Tioman or Aur and had to park at Mersing Jetty, i suggest you park near the Toilet entrance, (The toilet RM3 sen entrance fee). I had park there for the last 3 times and no problems. If you want a piece of mind, move on for 10 meters and you can pay a fee for someone to jaga......
