Naise!! TBH, if I really get to own my own ride in a few yrs time, im looking at a Veloster, Elantra, or a Mazda 3. IMO im swung towards elantra. My dads civic left with 4 yrs coe. After tat dependin on the coe then. [dizzy]

Getz 1.1

Avante

Both didn't give me problem during my ownership period.. But kinda hated the exaggerated horsepower n intrusive engine noise.. Elantra looks cool but... Reliability only time will tell as they are still fairly new..

I'm actually thinking of renewing my Coe when it hits 2017.. The size n power n comfort level is decent enough Liao I feel :)

Avante has a fairy quiet engine on normal drive below 3k rpm. But then again, any make under the bread and butter category, which engine noise won't be intrusive? It is just a matter of loud, or soft.

If u compare avante n previous generation altis, engine noise is less intrusive on altis tbh.. If u go to Hyundai forum, u see a Christmas list of common problem lol.. The most expensive pro will be the power steering, my fren enquire wit Komoco as he encounter dis issue n guess wat... it cost a whooping 5k for it :( of course he didn't change but change ride instead lol

my Civic 1.8 was bought in Oct 2008 at $76K from KM and i sold it for $78K in May 2010 with only 15000km on the meter.

now $172K ???? rather top-up another 30k plus to get an alphard.

so far driven my friend's elantra before. the feel is good but not as what i expected. expected more from it. good thing is can zhng. ;p reason y we not sure if want to renew coe is cos car giving us slight probs maybe cos old aldy. the battery just went dead the other day & workshop advised us to jumpstart and bring it for a check.. found ntg wrong. reason y it went dead cos forgt turn off the headlights for few hrs. battery has been giving us prob. changed aldy also same thing..

any bros encounter battery dead cos never off headlights? for a few hrs will go dead? or is there a underlying prob? [:/]
