Chewbacca 1st Gear June 7, 2012 Share June 7, 2012 I can do nearly 1000 km in a full tank (full all the way, can't pump anymore type0. I know for sure that my mileage is about 13.5-13.8 liter per km. But the official capacity for my car is 55 liters.... Some how, there's nearly another extra 15 liters some where...... A VW, in case you're wondering. ↡ Advertisement

Anyway you mean 13.5-13.8km/L right?

SimonTan 2nd Gear June 8, 2012 Share June 8, 2012 Officially 55x 13.8 = 759km max distance possible. So I guess you really do have a magical car. But do take into account that the goose neck and spare capacity of the fuel tank structure may allow 8 extra unaccounted liters of fuel. Also we know that many car tyres and speedo over declare the speed. Say if the speedo show 90km/hr, while GPS shows 80km/hr then there is a buffer of 12% error. So your actual distance possible can increase to 55x13.8x 1.12% + 8x13.8x1.12%=974km. After doing the maths.....I still think you have a magical car that has major error in tyre size, fuel tank size, and speedo gauge inaccurate and trip computer calibration error. Deckbuild 6th Gear June 8, 2012 Share June 8, 2012 Which VW model you driving? If it's those with 7 DSG I don't think the FC you stated is correct. Someone here driving scirocco can hit 400KM at 3/4 tank. And previous test have shown that Passat CC can achieve more than 23km/l on HW only therefore smelly smelly also will have 18 if you drive in sg.
