Neutral Newbie

For example.

Frd A security setting is to frds only.

frd B (family member of yours)

Frd A and B is not frds.

Personel setting is set to frds only.

So now, if I post in Frd A wall, can frd B see it?

So long as A and B not friends AND security setting of A is "for friends only", then - No. B cannot see A's wall at all.

For me FB is a great way to come into contact with mechs , techs, engineers and those directly working in the auto service industry. Currently I have close to more than 990 friends mainly from Asia. I will try to hit the 2k mark by next year.

I don't understand.

Why take the risk?

If you have something to tell Frd A, why not just email him/her or sms him/her? Wouldn't that be more private?

FB only good for likes.

Don't put anything confidential or personal there which may embarrass you later on.

Facebook is social media. The two words used to describe it is already a clue to how it should be used.

SOCIAL + MEDIA! Anything you don't want friends or family to know, don't post, anything you'll be embarrassed by if you see on any media outlet, don't post.

Government will soon want more from social networks / media. So, even more don't any how share personal / private things online.

Don't post is the best, or even better, just delete your account.

What for reveal your privacy to strangers who may abuse it?

say you have 10 friends, 1 of them took your foto and used as his profile pics in Bike Forum or elsewhere, you also won't know who did ut. Not to say if you have 100s of friends.

My office has 1 girl who keeps posting day in day out about her life. Just trying to show off wat her new bf is doing for her and she's a 2x divorcee.

I already foresee that FB is nothing but invitation to trouble. An invasion to my private life. That's why I never did open an account.

It's a good tool to have, to keep in touch with friends la. Like every tool, we need to learn to use them in a safe manner.

A car is a dangerous tool too, but yet, still, we go through training and spend so much money to learn to use it. No harm in taking time and effort to learn how to use Facebook, afterall, it's merely a tool.
