Since last year, I have been noticing the trucks and lorries speeding and zapping on roads. Whether you are driving Volvo or hummer, if one of these giant kiss you, there are slim chance of walking out alive. Do you agree that all should be fitted with speed limiting device, which only allow at 50 - 60KMH? [shakehead]

We should fit speed limit devices to all vehicles, not just heavy vehicles. If the MOFO in the ferrari wasn't speeding, the taxi driver and passenger wouldn't have died.

I agreed with you that allvehicles (include bikes) should install the speed limit device and limit up to 90km/hr. Expect ambulance.

What I mean is they are fitted with speed limiting devices right? Some cars if you remove the speed limiter the top speed is even higher.

Neutral Newbie

Last time these commercial vehicles only have the "reminder limiter". The yellow blinking light on the roof, and beeping sound in the console.

Even the older taxis like crown have them.

But nowadays it seems like this is not enforced, many new commercial vehicles don't have it anymore.

All vehicles, motorcycles, cars, heavy vehicles, etc MUST have speed limiter.

Why limit to commercial vehicles?

Because to alot of drivers here, only private cars have the right to speed...

No matter what they say, safety lah, hogging lah, alot of drivers here have the elitist mentality.

Including the poll starter. And those that voted yes. And for your info, if given a choice, the same group of people will voted all commercial, taxis, motorcycles, bicycles off the road.

they have speed limiters but many disabled them [sly] when TP come and catch, they [bigcry]

What I meant was, a speed limiter device that is fitted with seal to disallow temper. So if these joker have to step on the pedal to the maximum, the max they can go is 60KMH. Almost daily I can easily spot these big lorries and trucks speeding average of 90Kmh!! :excl: :excl: If I can spot this easily, I believe this rest are so. I just wonder what the TP and LTA are doing?? [confused]

This are unless devices, did not physically limit the real speed of these vehicles. They post the most potential danger of other road users. Especially if one of this losses control on highways, just imaging what are the potential damages?? Ehh... [shakehead]
