The Certificate of Entitlement (COE) quota for the period August 2012 to January 2013 will be 19,351. Details of the quota for each vehicle category are in Annex A. Bidding under this quota will start with the August 2012 First Open Bidding Exercise.

So cat A will be somewhere round $90k?

 

Cat E cut approx 25% - but probably more inelastic, so + 40% in price, become about $120k?

From the nos. above, quite a big cut for Cat A. Cat B like no pain so its nore worth while to get bigger capacity vehicle?

Interestingly, Cat C got increase - so commercial vehicle price should drop back a bit.

So base on the above number..for twice per month bidding.. can we say it about 380+ quota per bidding for CAT A?

So Cat A cut from aug la! Guess even COE dont reach $100K, but seems like the price still remains around $60K plus!

Cat A is the bread and butter quota.

 

Definitely it will surge upwards....a 33 percent cut is so unexpected. I was wondering why the taxi company was bidding so aggressively in the last few bidding.

 

Did the TAXI COMPANY knew something that we didn't know. Can just speculate. Mmmmm
