I'm just worried that if anything to happen, I'm stuck. Any precaution or preparation that may reduce risk?

If you are traveling with a male companion, then it is ok but if you are with another female, you better

have the spare with you.

aiyo. just buy a wheel and tyre set that is excatly the same size as your wheels, and leave it in the boot during your trip. remove it after you return.

few hundred dollars to set your mind at ease.

scared to travel, then dun travel.

oh, one more thing. bring tools too. bring tyre, then didn't bring tools, abit salah right?

There will be risks no matter what. Even if nothing happen to tyre, there can always be risk (however small) of other problems. If you are really worried then you should see if you can get another car to travel with you. Having at least 2 cars is the safest and can protect against almost all risks and situations.

However be prepared to scrap that tire if you going to use the repair kit.

Is this a rhetorical question? Its like asking should i eat if i am hungry?.. Sorry can't help it. :)

On the serious note, please bring along a spare tyre and tools and a baton for unplanned hostilities...

How does a tire repair kit "repairs" a tire? It cover-up the hole or what?

1) Instant Tyre repair foam - available from most car marts. Instant repair for minor puncture, discard tyre after use.

2) Get a spare tyre - Leave it secured in the boot. Either get full size or mini size. You should be able to t-loan something from your regular tyre shop. Remember to get the jack and correct tools too.

3) Change all tyres to run-flat

4) Start going to church

First question do you or any passenger know how to change tyre?

my advice is pay tyre man to come down and change a proper tyre, as spare are only for short distance and at max speed of 70 or 80

do rem to get a reflective trangle( sorry dont know the name of it) or get AA road side assitance as bro say. Not a safe thing to get out of the car to chnage tyre with cars and truck zoom past
