Anyone into touring of Okinawa?

Intending to venture in Nov, to avoid the cold winter in other parts of Japan.

If dont want to self-drive in Okinawa, is it possible to travel ard by public trains?

Also, what's the usual flight route from Singapore to Okinawa?

many thanks

For my business trips in the past, I used to take SIN-Osaka, Kansai Airport.

Then take a domestic ANA flight to Okinawa.

70% proof awar mori ..... must try.

Super strong version of Okinawan sake.

It will knock you out in one small pitcher!

yup, it's called churaimi aquarium (very huge aquarium). You can also visit churi castle, cape manzamo, ocean expo park, etc. Hope you enjoy your trip. do not forget to try its noodle.

This island is nice.

Hokk is too cold, I 'hate' snow, I 'hate' driving on freezing rain.

Its safe, medical is excellent, children and elderly no worries.

Orion Biiru!!!

Cham ah, love my beer.

At the basement of liang court closest to the toilet, there is an Okinawan restaurant. Actually quite similar to Chinese food in a way and they seem to like pork a lot. They have a flavored rice dumpling. Sedap. As is their braised fatty pork.

But note their green tea is damn expensive at $4 a cup.

Nirai Kanai. very popular among the local Japanese community. the peanut tofu is outstanding.

i don't know about the green tea but the roast barley tea is refillable. it tastes good too.

Yeah, on jetstar. Booked hotels in Okinawa City (1 night), Nago (2 nights) and Nana (3 nights).

That's nice, direct flight. Enjoy yourselves & do share narrations & pictures of your trip.

My fav place there was Churaumi Aquarium.

Returned from a 1 week trip. Drove my family around in a Serena. Spacious MPV with room for 6 of us + 2 large & 2 small luggage.

Nice winter weather from 13 - 26 degC. Good Japanese & Okinawan food. Lots of interesting sights.

Came back with lots of spare yen as it was cheaper than expected. Maybe also didn't spend a lot of time at the Outlet.
