anybody knows what is the proper procedure for maintaining your car's aircon?

is there anything that is supposed to be done?

i've come across shops offering aircon gas replenishing, aircon coil cleaning and other stuff

not sure what is the recommended or advised change interval

Neutral Newbie

There's the car maintenance manual to refer to, else get an opinion from the car A/C mechanic.

You may wish to check out this workshop at Sin Ming:

http://www.thegreenbook.com/companies/winn...motor-services/

Engaged their services years ago and find their workmanship to be reliable with reasonable charges.

Give them a call to see how they can help.

Car air on is closed circuit system.

Should not leak or need replenishing,,unless there is a leak. Usually from joints or condenser.

If you really want to change refrigerant and compressor oil, go to a workshop that uses the BOSCH aircon diagnosis machine.

Mechanic just connect the 2 hoses, select from touch screen vehicle model, and tasks required . Such as complete recovery and top up, machine will take over all jobs (recover, vacuum, refill oil, R134a.

I like the way the stepped vacuum tests are done, less stress on aircon.

All refilled to manufacturer spec.

This the first time I do something with airxon using R134A. Previously had a compressor replacement near end of 3 yr warranty.

Its at Toh Guan area.

What is the average market price range using computerised Aircon rexovery and refill.

Price may be higher but not out of reach or unreasonable.

Most importantly must be serious quality and attentive service.

Of course there are other workshops around, but I will try 'Meister Wxxxx' again to test out their business values, culture..

Hi bros,

I'm a newbie so can't start new thread but would like to know if it's possible to install rear air con if our car doesn't come with one? Thinking of those thats usually available on continental cars.

When I mean possible, I mean the cost is not like you'd rather buy a new car type.
