This is such a long post... so to make it short , first time buying a car and looking for a very good brand of video dash cam that allows good recording be it day or night. Thank you.

No budget,  but looking for China branded premium dash cam. Any brand to recommend? I saw VIOFO but anything else?

Hi, I think my car cam is dying, the screen shows those lines and it's not recording

I tried unplugging the wires and putting back but still not working

Any one has any recommendations? Looking for something not too expensive

Btw, can I just replace the front cam without replacing both the front and back cam together?

Thanks for helping [:)]

Get XiaoYi Car DVR. Cheap, good and reliable.

Is ur current camera 2 Channel or 1 Channel? If two Channel, then have to replace both. If one Channel, replace the faulty one.

Can try inserting a brand new microSD card? Maybe its the card not working, not the camera.

Ok thanks so much for the recommendation :)

How can I find out if it's 1 channel or 2 channel?

Will try taking out the card later

Mine is LX3. Less than a year but do not know how it will be 3 years later. It is not 24/7 and i use a power bank to run it.

It can also draw power from USB ports.

See if there is wire from the front camera to the rear camera. If there is, it is 2 channel.

can't rem exactly but 1.5yrs tops...

my opinion is it's just ordinary, not spectacular or very long lasting product. if the xiaoyi cam existed then, i'd have gone for it.

Important part is this xiaoyi cam cannot record when engine is off.

Not sure which LR u getting but the second camera will not fit if your LR comes with rain and light sensor fitted with the rearview mirror.

The first one, I am not a fan of suction cup mount as it will fail after some time under our hot sun.

So both out for me. [laugh]

I am getting the LandRover 2008 Freelander 2.  So does this mount in front or not for the 2nd camera?
