Mine during my last 80K servicing and the workshop told me my batt weak.....quoted me $110 for a batt but I did not ask what brand it was until I saw on the receipt and when bonnet opened as well..... [laugh]

It was a workshop at Sin Ming.....

Mine Amaron Hi-Life has lasted 3 years so far. Now at 51% capacity (I just got it tested today). I will change it when it tests at 30% capacity. Excellent battery.

guys, u are all talking about maintenance free batteries right?

i heard MF batteries have shorter lifespan than conventional top-up water ones. is this true?

Based on my experience, yes. My non-MF batt lasted a freaking four years!

I rather go through the trouble of topping up water for an additional 2yrs. [:p]

my current amaron MF batt lasted more than 3 1/2yrs... still working but a bit weak... i think it can at least last another 3 4 months but i dont want to risk it so gonna replace it...

amaron are a good choice quite reliable. The better ones are Bosche IMO... Had a bosche in my car for 5 years without any problem..

Is there a"Bosche" brand.?Only heard of "Bosch" brand.!

Its reasonable...my change at 2200hrs ..$130 battery...$45 labour..also 45amp

Wah.. chop carrot.

I kanna a flat on Sunday. Mainly bec car was left not driven for 3-4days weekly for past 3 weeks.

I installed a defusalator call nanopulser. They had a emergency service.. called up the number, mechanic Ah Ho drove to me within an hour, saw that I had a 60ah battery but he only brough a smaller 45ah batt.. he asked me to drive back together w him at Mx to get the big batt after jump start my car. I paid $66 for a 60ah Korean batt, low price is good, but the process of someone jumpstart my car very soon when my car is stuck at a macdonald is priceless!

You are lucky. Mine died within 2years. [furious]

Given a choice I will still go back to the typical wet battery.
