the car in the photos was indeed an EK9 Civic Type R, unless of course the owner spent a ton of cash to convert an EK3 hatchback into an EK9.

simply despise such car owners.... CTR badge on a OLD EK...

and a dumb gal believes its a CTR.... [laugh]

Looks like a legit EK9 Civic Type R to me...how you know it's not real?

Neutral Newbie

There are only 2 officially registered EK9 left in SG and they are both '99 Facelift model..

this car is a Pre-facelift model (from the pics showing the aircon console) without sunroof..

it's either a very nicely done EK3 Hatch or one of the "unofficial" EK9 in SG.. [;)]

How you know it's a SIR and not a Type R? You know the owners of the last 2 Type Rs?

(edited)

Isn't that a Type R? It's a 5lugs rims. I thought EK4 is 4lugs only?

EK4 has sunroof, EK9 don't. Can't remember which one has rear wiper, which one dosen't

Maybe it's a EK3 converted but it does not matter, the engine looks like a B series engine to me, be it B16 or B20, it's a Twin Cam not like the EK3 single CAM
