Hi guys,

throw comfort, noise, durabilty aside.

Which one is better for performance?

in terms of high speed stablity and wet/dry braking.

thanks.

Only tried the PS3 and RE001, but my guess is that the RE002 would perform better...

Hi, how is the PS3 compared to RE001?

I tried RE001 before. :)

Actually I feel that they're quite close, but if I were to call a difference, I think the RE001 handles better when dry but the PS3 handles better when wet [:p]

Short of going to track, my choice will be PS 3 unless the RE002 is significantly cheaper. For local use, NSH , fast road use, short naughty sprint with boy racer, PS3 is more than adequate.

Neutral Newbie

PS3 is more progressive so it gives you time to react, braking wise it is superior to Re002. However if you like to carry speed in and out of the corner it will not be for you, side wall is too soft. Wear rate is slightly better and low rolling resistant.

For Re002 only one defect do not get over confident cornering in the wet, when it goes it's quick

Very nice and good advices guys !!!

"short naughty sprint with boy racer" --- i like this!!!

"However if you like to carry speed in and out of the corner it will not be for you, side wall is too soft" --- this could be the breaking factor.........

RE001 give me alot confident in dry driving. Really could corner hard as the sidewall is quite hard.

Comfort and noise level is good. no regrets for this tyres.

but RE002 prices have went up and quite close to PS3 now.

Thats why i am deciding whether to switch camp.

is the thai PS3 in anyway inferior???

Thai PS3 is just as good. I used RE001 before. PS3 wins by a mile.

Although PS3 sidewall is softer but you get comfort and performance. You can also increase tyre pressure to change the characteristic too.

My choice will be PS3 over RE001 or RE002.

Wat is the tyre size for Re002 you asking? I checked with LS last week, RE002 45/225/17 is S240 each but now the model is made not made in Japan liao.

Oh I din know the PS3 is cheaper than the RE002.

personally ever used both re001 and PS3 ad both are good tyre low noise and very good handling except ps3 is slightly more comfortable.

and my understanding that is sort of ps3 PI tyre around which had different compound and does not covered by tyre company warranty [knife]
