Then have to educate humans on how to operate the automate machine liao. Cause cannot assume every human is proficiency in automate machine. But if people who dont know how to use or dont want to learn and remember how to use, and yet they still go to those self check out lane would resulted holding people behind. inlinesix Supersonic March 23, 2018 Share March 23, 2018 in the near future it’s facial recognition plus infra red and 3d scanning auto gate ... just walk pass (like bolehland smartec drive thru) just like in the futuristic movie ... with AI and big data analytics ... your identity is matched to your registered profile i have privillege working on the concept of such technology just like the amazon shopping without counter ... take and go phase 1 = counter man by human phase 2 = auto gate, self check in, scan this scan that phase 3 = fully automated with AI and sensors (autonomy) in fact the technology already available now just like the self drive automobile ... just need to be perfected and for the technology to mature and mass market the biggest challenge is regulation and legislative just like you enter a country legally only if your passport is stamped and record is entered into the computer system Regulation and legislative is Singapore biggest red tape. The auto gate is fast and the manual lines also has very short queues. Edited March 24, 2018 by Jamesc

This could be a threat to Changi Airport if more and more airlines bypass the airport with such air crafts. And Changi Airport is still bend at imposing the passenger levy. Good luck. And Changi Airport is still bend at imposing the passenger levy. Good luck. may not affect Changi business much. Traffic from Perth to London cannot be very huge right? And does a 17 hour flight appeal. A stop over in SG may still be popular. Changi recently kick a fuss with arilines not coming in on time. Fines for being early or late arrivals. Even a ban is on the cards. How will it turn out yet to know.
