Sky_vinz Clutched October 4, 2012 Share October 4, 2012 Am doing a survey at the moment, with regards to including one or more motorcycles in your wedding motorcade. 1) Will you be interested to include a Class 2 motorcycle to lead your wedding motorcade, as seen in VIP escorts for officials? The motorcycle will only be responsible in leading the motorcade, and not stopping traffic or clearing the path, etc (which is against the law). 2) If yes, why? And how much are you willing to pay for a 10 hours package for this motorcycle? 3) If no, why? Any comments or suggestions? Thank you for your time, cheers! ↡ Advertisement

Icebrush79 4th Gear October 4, 2012 Share October 4, 2012 tThe motorcycle will only be responsible in leading the motorcade, and not stopping traffic or clearing the path, etc then what's the point? Same sentiments. The whole idea of a motorcycle leading the entourage is to have a VIP kind of feeling, which will be defeated if it serves only as a cosmetic purpose. Imagine: The flow gets disrupted by a traffic junction, should the motorcycle wait by the junction? or proceed... not very practical in SIN's traffic conditions. Tip: The whole idea is to have this VIP feel?? Then do some illegal mods and allow LTA to escort you back for inspection. Its FOC*. Tried this escort 2 mths ago and yes, you feel like king of the road because ALL other vehicles will give way to you. *Terms and conditions apply. LTA shall not bear your summon costs

Vectrasonic 2nd Gear October 4, 2012 Share October 4, 2012 What cars are they going to escort? If supercars, I will take notice, if daily cars, don't waste time and effort.
Subutai 3rd Gear October 4, 2012 Share October 4, 2012 No point as its just face value (no right of way) on the road for a short period of time and the $ can be put to use on better things. Is my personal POV.

Darryn Turbocharged October 4, 2012 Share October 4, 2012 If gonna do, then would rather go for something "special" and / or "themed" Eg - three harley bikers in leather jackets in front, three more behind or Starwars themed bikes or something like that - Something that will create an impression in and of itself. Or spend the money on a super special car. BTW - those proper cisco outriders not cheap. Can do a lot of other things with the money - especially if it is only cosmetic. Macrosszero Turbocharged October 4, 2012 Share October 4, 2012 If the bikers are riding big white motorbikes that are done up to resemble TP bikes at a glance, maybe you are on to something...... TP may have something to say about this, though...... And honestly, I wouldn't need to have them for ten hours. Just 4-5 hours, at the most.
Macrosszero Turbocharged October 4, 2012 Share October 4, 2012 and to me, this is a novelty item and I wouldn't pay too much for novelty, maybe $100-200 for the gig. Depends on how impressive they look.
Mockngbrd Supersonic October 4, 2012 Share October 4, 2012 (edited) Mockngbrd: For those who wants to feel VIP (example: like government official). That's the thing. Why would adding a bike in front of another car make it feel "VIP" when they can't really do anything else to "value add"? Maybe for someone who's into Bikes (but then again, if someone's into bikes, he'd probably already be able to arrange something on his own), imo, no one's gonna pay for this. Yes - the bikes would need to be big and fierce. Those 125CC Cisco type wouldn't cut it! I wonder if something like the pix here. Or the one at this link - if could get two of these, it would be a blast! http://www.flickr.com/photos/27246804@N04/2962367809/
Darryn Turbocharged October 4, 2012 Share October 4, 2012 Especially if the wedding car was also an antique / classic. Not sure what a bike like this would set you back, or how hard it would be to bring in. I know that once more than 35 years old for cars, can import - for bikes, not so sure. But the classic car scheme can only use 28 days per year - which if the same applies to bikes it would be an issue
Tarzan666 2nd Gear October 4, 2012 Share October 4, 2012 Last time heard a local harley group actually market their service to escort wedding vehicles, good ting is create presence, like wanna let pple know ur getting married..wow..now dunno they still doing or not..
