Gearbox jerky when cold

Hi guys, my auto gearbox tends to jerk during gear shifts.

It is very obvious when moving off after cold start, especially for down-shifting.

After engine warms up, it gets alot smoother. What could be wrong? I just serviced my car last month, and workshop did not say anything is wrong. Then again, I did not specifically ask them to check the gearbox.

Check e level of atf when engine is hot.

If thats within range most likely ty used wrong type of atf during recent service.

Do not pay that ws anything re service or flush atf. Ty made mistake ty sud rectify fr free.

I wud not go there again. Either incompetent or dishonest.

Maybe u can give a clue which ws.

I have experienced something similar, jerky on the very rare occasion during down-shifting. But its intermittent.

Using a CVT gearbox. It is a sign that transmission is going to uplorry or is it a transmission fluid/filter issue?

Driving a 2006 E60. Pre-LCI, means not E-gear.

When I mentioned that I just serviced the car, I meant that the workshop did not do anything to the transmission nor the ATF.

So is it my ATF that needs changing? Or my gearbox already spoilt?

It's the solenoid like thingy that comes with a pcb board and it's like 6 or 7 pcs of it.

Autotrans need not come down. But filter all this will need to remove.

So the mechatronics refers to the solenoid like thingy?

Any idea on the approximate cost of repairs? And this problem can wait? Cos if can, I will wait till next servicing to solve. Next servicing is probably 6 mths away.
