4 year old car, mileage clocked 29K and selling only $53K?!

the depreciation based on $53K price is $7.8K per yr....tat's the "market" rate (actually on the high side, considering it's not a luxury car n it's a korean brand, but the low mileage, if it's true, is a plus, i suppose)....

Possible. I bought my current car used with mileage at 31k, 4 years 2 months old. Checked service history and timing with AD and everything checked out ok. The tires are still the original tires direct from AD and the YOM of the tyres correspond with the the year that the car was shipped to Singapore brand new, the wear rate of the tires match the mileage driven on the car.

No tell tales signs of over-usage of the factory fitted interior, the interior fittings were original and were almost brand new. No used car dealer or seller would replace interior trimmings to the original factory condition just to make a sales. Used car dealers would rather use their mouth to persuade and dangle freebies or touch up than to really go "touch up" before a sale is made.

Another way to tell mileage and usage is to check if the used car is of the original factory paint. The condition of the original factory paint can tell you if the usage of the car is really low. Re-painted cars is a sure sign that the dealers are trying to hide tell tales sign from the original condition of the car. Factory paint from even bread and butter brand is so good that with minimum care and attention, the paint condition can remain in good condition baring any accidents or chemical spills on the paint.

you never know.

for example, my bike clocks only 200km a year...

if i buy a car for my wife, she will clock about 300km per month or less than 4000km per year..
