anime is a japanese word used specifically for japanese made & styled cartoons. Western cartoons r just cartoons, not called anime.

Country of origin is 1 of the most notable things, but aside from that, anime is more stylized with common character designs and facial structures, detailed backgrounds, and a plot. Also there are many genre of anime from children's anime to adult anime (hentai). Cartoons tend to be made to appeal to little kids by making the characters look deformed and having no point to the story.

too bad it ended without telling us if Hikaru and Akira ever become on par in skill

 

aiyoh. Hikaru was only slightly weaker than Touya Akira at the end. N this was within a span of 4 yrs!

vs Touya who started at the age of 2.

They are eternal rivals!

actually quite a few of us guys watch. we have a nerdy image to keep up
