Buying washing machine also headache.... need it urgently.

I have narrow down to Electrolux EWW1274, LG WD1485 and Samsung WD0804.

All 3 are washer/dryer combo. Yup, I know some will say don't buy combo, but I need it because of space constraint at home. ok ok, take it that I insist want a combo, which one should I get?

I'm impress with samsung what what bubble technology, but Electrolux have been a pioneer in washing machine, so quite trust worthy. LG have a better apearance. Samsung looks like a square safe-box. Both Samsung and LG have chrome door which light turn to rust (greenish bits) in times to come. Electrolux have grey paints coated door, which is nice, but the function is minimal compare to it's kim chi rival.

Headache!!!

Any one uses any of these?

Samsung here being the most ex with a price tag of $1150 ($150 voucher) . LG $990 (free handphone) and electrolux suprisingly lowest, $900 (free coffee maker)

i've been doing some research on washing machines reliability.

BUT not washer/dryer combo.

So far in SG, i will just buy the cheapest Bosch/LG

Top loading or front loading?

You may want to consider washing machines that have at least a 5 year motor warranty (like Samsung).

Skip European brands as they tend to bring a touch of class, and nothing else.

Reliability is the most important especially as the washing machine will go through many wash cycles.

Bosch u refer to those Thailand made issit? I didnt try them but quality like slightly more inferior than those Germany made..any case, electronics cant last too long nowadays...but Germany made is damn solid i must say..

some forummers have reported problems with their rubber mountings of their Bosch after a few years.

I'm using the LG one, combo washer and dryer. 8kg load with 4 kg dryer.

Been using it for 4 - 5 years now.... no problem at all. Very quiet coz it's belt-less

My door is chrome but i dont see any green bits yet. Anyway, you can use Brasso to clean off the green bits if they come next time

mountings? for the motor?

think he is referring to the door area where there is rubber...that part gets dirty overtime..it is all about maintaining n airing it...

my previous made-in-france thomson top loader lasted more than 12 years

current made-in-france electrolux top loader is also very good

if got the space, should use dryer from PUB, uses gas rather than electricity, more than 7 years liao still going strong

apparently some people say that u can only claim the warranty once for the directdrive system. Not sure how true is that.
