Summer in Taipei is jin sian .. first a couple of months of plum rain followed by Typhoon season. Prefer Spring or Winter.

Think autumn should be the best season to go.

In Taiwan, staying in minsu is more fun than in the hotel.

Most minsu are family operated, and their service is always very good.

It is a different type of experience comparing to stay in a hotel.

Yes I concur. In fact with the emergence of Airbnb we have more choices when going to places like taiwan. For the past 3 trips to Taiwan I did not choose hotel at all.
