Hi bros!

Need your help fast! Anyone here knows where my friend can get aircon compressor and belting at this hour in Singapore for a Mazda 3 1.6? His car broke down yesterday in Tangkak and he and wifey went down Singapore by bus and left the car there at a workshop which do not have the spare parts.

Appreciate any help fast!

Thank you!

Got to motoring directory, search aircon, start calling up each one.

Sometimes stockists will have too.

Actually no aircon can still drive right? Unless it's heavy rain and interior fogs up.

Supercharged

Your friend didn't go JB to find the part? Larkin there got a row of shophouses selling motor spare parts... but then again, Mazda cars aren't common there in Malaysia.

At least get the belt first, if compressor can't find. Then can drive back SG, without aircon.

with all the chaos, they reached JB past midnite and all shops were closed for the day.

Hmmm....shall I pity....???? Looks like he got conned by the shop.

Good luck to him as he may find his car missing when he gets back. Best that he doesn't drive out of Singapore if he does not know some basics about the car.

Just ask the workshop to by pass the compressor with a shorter belt .... But must be in the same "PK". ( same grove line)

Drive the car back without the aircon on.

Shorter belt sure have in jb unless they trying to be funny.

My 5cents....

Mazda distributor in malaysia is "Bermaz", and there is one listing in Batu Pahat. Not in JB. What model is the Mazda, and how old?

Best bet is to get AA advise on where to go, and towing services.

Ya, I think so too. Car should be at Dubai now. Even if my car broke down, I wouldn't leave it on Malaysia street. At least get it tow back to sg. 300 dollars tow fee vs 10k plus OMV, which one is more worth it? Sorry but I think your friend is finding excuse to dump the car and claim insurance.

if yr friend have relative there, still can ask them help to look over. if don't have then wish yr friend good luck.

2 years back my car's GB bearing chui at muar, lucky i have bro at muar, manage to found GB specialist ws there but cannt found bearing there for my gb. so i bought bearing & gear oil from here then courier to muar. bearing & gear oil only cost less than SGD100 but labour for overhaul cost rm2400, consider a bit ex overthere but think will be cost more if i tow back & repair here.
