These tyres are real good in the wet & very much better in hard braking as compared to my old Continental rubbers.

Wear rate? Not sure coz its only less than 8k km on them

With such an output, need to upgrade other parts such as inter cooler n stuff? Car still got bal 4yrs but sick of manual as I travel a lot.. Sometime can clock 300-400km a day.

A bigger intercooler & replacing all the piping with steel instead of the stock rubber hose.

Instant response but increase of no of hp is unknown.

This model is really getting old. .2007 till now no face lift

The biggest problem is they are selling the Fiats at a price as if it's a Ferrari. Hardly see any new Fiats registered since 2010.

Hi Guys,

I am looking at a 2009 Bravo 1.4T (120bhp/205nm). Test drove one recently, and I dont feel the surge forward when floored. Is this normal?

I am worried there might be problem with the turbo, well I must add that the pickup is not too shabby but its very linear like a NA ride.

Test drove a Jetta Sport as well and the surge is pretty strong.

Any advice?

Cheers

So far i have never seen/heard any bravo owners changing their turbo due to faulty

So i doubt theres any problem with it

Dun compare bravo with jetta

7 DSG can give u nightmare

Bravo is using selespeed, it will not have problem like 7 DSG

I have recently noticed the increased presence of this small Italian family.

Fiat brand was labelled unreliable but till date, after 2yrs of ownership, I beg to differ.

I have waves of gesture on the road from ferocious Bravos & hot looking Puntos.

Anyone booked a new Bravo despite the hike in COE?

Hope to see more joining our family

Ciao

Hi fellow Bravo... I agree with you that Fiat community in Sg is growing. Although I hope there would be more 500 around. However, Fiat had many issues before 2005 due to unreliability BUT the Grand Punto saved Fiat's reputation with the creation of stunning design coupled with safety & much less issues than before. In 2007, Fiat launched the Bravo Tjet & this car caught my eyes... since then I swear by Fiat.

The main reason why Singaporeans avoid Fiat:

1. AD servicing & repairs are expensive as not many workshops handles Fiat cars well.

2. Car parts replacement hard to get unless from AD or certain workshops dealing with Fiat cars.

3. Fewer aftermarket accessories to modify car

4. Limited aftermarket rims selections

5. Misconception that its unreliable (FIAT = fix it again tomorrow)

Why I love Fiat Bravo Tjet?

1. Stunning looks (can't take my eyes off u... Reminds me of a song)

2. Each class models interior looks different unlike German marques VW or Opel

3. Fantastic fuel economy - I get 12.8-13.5 km/l even after 5yrs!

4. Lower maintenance - regular servicing every 15k-20k

5. 1.4L means lower road tax :)

6. cos my son approves it! He does like any other cars except the Fiat Bravo & Alfa Romeo cars [;)]

7. mine comes with a panoramic roof & I enjoy every moment of it...

8. I like every moment behind the wheels, there's always power whenever you need it :D

Yeah, hope to see more & newer Fiat Bravo out on the roads... or if we bump into each other @ Prowerkz in Kaki Bukit for servicing or repairs [wave]

Engineers @ Prowerkz ran me through exactly same set up plus some other add-ons & remap but it's an expensive mod... I think it can cross 200bhp on manual rather than auto version.

I think Bravo is another dying breed.Since 2007,there is no FL till now.

Look at the Japs, korean, other contis,a new FL avg of every 3yrs
