It might not appear viable currently.

But the situation will be different in 10 years' time with many baby boomers retired or retiring, Gen X about 50 years old, population size exceeding 6.5 million to 7 million.

New opportunities will arise from more options provided.

Yup, 1st Mr Khaw bounce off idea of retirement villag, now with new portfolio, making commuting between retirement village and visiting children a breeze.

It's a reality now, not just an idea.

Bandar Malaysia already sold interest of about 60% to Iskandar and Chinese right? The fellas who bought it are actually Chinese train builders and operators and Iskandar - which is JB Sultan concern I think.

There was an economic interest in the Chinese buying it. I don't think the fck-up that is 1MDB has any bearing to this.

finally spotted . . . .

as iskandar's majority investments from ah tiong

plus contributions from our local prop investors . . . .

and jb sultan's assurances . . . .

something better communicable transportation must be built there, right?

but any after iskandar to kl, then its bet. arhjib kor and ah tiong liao......

this is made clear from ah khaw & pinky too . . . .

its just nice for 2030's retirement village to be built there as what ah khaw had promised in 2014......

its really 算 !!!

remember, many had oledi said here that we'll be old by then

and old with lots of CPFs holdup

so, the abovementioned will come true !!!

If there's a will, there's a way. Enough said. What is lacking is the will.

Anyway, 300km+ is not economical and profitable to operate. They need to plan for further expansion...

Lol if najib is guaranteed another donation upon completion of hsr, u can bet it will be in operation from 2019

yes. same line 3 services.

1. sg to kl - express 90mins (no stop in between)

2. sg to iskandar (for obvious reason) - but why need a train that runs 300kmph? lol

3. kl to iskandar - consider as domestic service (no crossborder)

2 companies - 1 to run international (this one joint venture) and 1 to run domestic (this one probably msia own company)

2nd Class - ¥139.50 (S$28.27)

1st Class - ¥219.50 (S$44.48)

Superior Class -  ¥262.50 ($53.19)

Business Class -  ¥437.50 ($88.65)
