At least post the make of your car and model lah........else quite difficult for some to advise you leh......

 

My colleague had this problem on his Kia Rio, which has happened at least twice to different doors. He mentioned there some parts in the door mechanism that needs to replace.

Check if it is child safety lock. The lock shd be somewhere near the edge of the door on the inside. Deactivate it if it is activated.

Replaced with a new Internal door handle(DIY-Spare $22). Some part broken.
