Looking at the Lancer 1.5l GLS but did a search and saw that the fc not that good. Beyond the usual Altis, what else should I consider?

my auntie has super heavy foot and says that she only fill up the tank once every 2-3 weeks.

Drives 5 days a week, abt 40-50km each day.

seems like pretty good FC to me

Thanks all. Only concern I have about Vios is (rightly or wrongly) safety features. Maybe I will consider Jetta, but Jap car still preferred.

If fc really mattes cos u travel alot, perhaps manual would be a betta choice.. As for vw, seriously hope u think twice.. Ya I agreed German badge, solid built, attractive pricing but............................... Isn't the dsg a killer? Lol........ 2 of my frens whom are vw owners had mechatronics failure, 1st guy after a yr.. 2nd guy, aft travel less den 2500km.. Juz my 2 cents..

Prius/Prius C.

Prius C definitely. Super fuel sipper. Especially if you drive in town a lot.

Polo also quite frugal actually.

Prius is obvious choice? But you thinking of saving money & running cost, parts etc I guess Vios or Altis.

Prius and Prius C is just like Altis, same maintenance cost. Hybrid engine is service free. Inverter coolant change per 100k km. Battery 10 years warranty if buy from AD.

Or you might wanna look at the new Slyphy, the CVT might get you 15 to 18 km/l as well.

Prius/Prius C 7 air bags. Altis 2 air bags.

Looking at 2nd hand market, and the dashboard bubble nightmare for the old sylphy I scared scared.

Looking at something around Altis size, so Prius like a bit too small. Taking into account all feedback, seems like cannot run away from Altis.

I think you mean Prius C size and not Prius, Prius size is almost a Camry.

Or you might want to try the Auris.

Dashboard bubble really quite a nightmare on sylphy, but you can change the dashboard and dont think it is a major problem. [:p]

If you want a size about altis, think the only car with good FC is altis. :D Other similar car dont really hear the FC is good lo. But how about city? The i-vtec should be not bad?
