already shown in the white paper that a bridge is connecting to ubin. garmen will never build a bridge unless they can recover the cost via some commercial crap in ubin.

then they'll stop all bumboats services and erect ERP gantries to recover the cost...... [lipsrsealed][laugh]

Just read in the papers today that they are even asking those old folks who've been living there for years to start paying "fee" for occupying the land. [hur]

http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singap...seh/636648.html

On one hand, say no plans to evict residents, but on the other hand, ask them to obtain temporary occupation license and pay fee for use of state land.

I think it's just an excuse to evac the place soon for upcoming commercial development, cos most likely many of the old folks there will not be able to afford, if they are even granted license in the first place.

Sad, better bring your kids to visit quickly before it's all gone ...

The adventure park was already there before the turn of the century if I remember correct it should be in 1997-99. If not wrong it used to be a chalet sort of resort. Think it was defunct after a few years then change ownership. Think its facing the Pulau Ketam area.

Used to visit Ubin quite often in the past to cycle.

The writing seems to be on the wall now. Everything seems to gel together. Brace yourself for 6.9M!

KBW recently also say open to housing foreign workers at offshore islands.
