Ericongy 3rd Gear May 10, 2013 Share May 10, 2013 Recently I went to a tyre shop with my friend to change his rims n tyres for his new ride so I see around for any nice rims.. came across this 15" and i quite like it, so I just ask sales person n he told me its a 15x7" rim. he said most 15" are 6.5" in width and thus the 0.5" extra will make the ride more stable... duno true or not? anyone knows? ↡ Advertisement

Deckbuild 6th Gear May 10, 2013 Share May 10, 2013 Wider surface contact more stable. But normal drive narrower save more fuel, all those stable or not doesn't make very significant difference.

Fuelsaver Supercharged May 10, 2013 Share May 10, 2013 will not have impact on fuel consumption unless 2 or more inches diff. same for stability.
Mkl22 Twincharged May 10, 2013 Share May 10, 2013 Handling will be a little bit sharper compared with a 6.5in rim with the same tire.
