Doubt the it's taken from CCTV. If you noticed, the camera can move and follow the event.

The person who took the video might have sensed something was wrong. Really pity the mother.

This has been asked many times, I'll try to explain.

Original source of video footage is from CCTV installed. Then someone watching the CCTV use his/her smart phone to record the CCTV footage. From the smart phone, easily upload and share on facebook/twitter/youtube etc.

So people always asked why not get it from the source direct?? Cos it'll take more time to get from CCTV. Got thumb drive?? Correct format?? File very big?? Need to edit the video to 1min?? Need to search the file at which directory?? Which date and time?? Fark lah, just use iPhone record sua!!!

KUALA LUMPUR - A five-year-old boy, who was kidnapped by two men near a kindergarten in Sungai Chua, has been reunited with his family, The Star reported.

A taxi driver, who only wanted to be known as Nizam, drove up to the family’s home in Taman Cahaya at 5.35pm on Friday, with the child in the back seat and called out to the parents in the house.

It was an emotional scene as the family ran out of the compound with tears to embrace the child, who was reportedly in healthy condition.

The child was then whisked into the house.

On Friday morning, one of two suspected kidnappers stopped the boy’s mother on the pretext of asking for directions.

While she was speaking, the man’s accomplice grabbed the boy and ran to a black Proton Saga.

It is believed that the mother managed to get into the kidnappers’ car but they later dumped her at the side of the road near a market in Sungai Chua.

The kidnap was captured in a video that went viral after the boy's relatives posted it online. The minute-long clip has been viewed more than 500,000 times since it was posted by Casey Lee on Facebook at about 11am on Friday.

Many appeals for the whereabouts of the child were circulating on social media and via mobile phone messages.

How dumb can one be to return the kids personally??..... But I'm not complaining since they didn't hurt the kids... Just worry for future case..

Low Yat episode 2? Looks like better to avoid Malaysia for now, too many crazies out there.

Just ranting.... there is so much Singaporeans can learn from the Low Yat incident (Malaysia is so racial these days. Today's write up in ST on this topic is pretty good) but some stupid bugger had to post some stupid racist remarks and the thread had to be locked. This is supposed to be the one of most mature and well regulated forums in SG and we can't even talk and share news on the Low Yat development, sad.

Can lah, provided that the topic be handled and discussed maturely and respectfully.

PM Lee himself touch on the Low Yat incident during this SG50 rally.

Take Malaysia, our closest neighbour, our very close partner. We watch what is happening in Malaysia very closely.....They worry about racial and religious tensions, about society being divided along racial lines. They have had incidents recently like the riot in Low Yat Plaza, between Chinese and Malays, which have prompted soul searching. ...

Police arrest taxi driver who brought kidnapped Malaysian boy back to parents

Kidnap case: Four of the suspects being led away by police officers.PHOTO: THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK

PUBLISHED2 HOURS AGO

SHAH ALAM (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - In a surprising turn of events, the taxi driver who "rescued" the five-year-old boy who was abducted in Kajang, of Malaysia's state of Selangor, has been arrested with three other men.

Police have recovered almost all of the RM300,000 (S$101,000) ransom money that was paid, said Selangor police chief Abdul Samah Mat.

"We have yet to determine if he is involved," he added.

Recounting the kidnapping drama, Comm Abdul Samah said about an hour and a half after the boy was abducted, the victim's father received a call from the kidnappers asking for RM300,000.

"The ransom was paid around 5pm the same day by the father. He dropped the cash off near a shopping centre at Saujana Impian, Kajang," he said during a press conference at Selangor police headquarters on Saturday (Oct 10).

The drama unfolded on Friday morning when two men stopped the boy's mother on the pretext of asking for directions.

While she was in the midst of explaining, the man's accomplice grabbed the boy and rushed to a black Proton Saga.

It is believed that the mother managed to get into the kidnappers' car, but they later dumped her at the side of the road near a market in Sungai Chua.

Datuk Abdul Samah said following the return of the boy to his parents, police tracked down the two men who abducted the boy, a 28-year-old and an Indonesian, 32, to the front of a shopping mall at Jalan Sungai Chua, Kajang.

"We arrested them around 10.10pm yesterday and seized the Proton Saga they used in the kidnapping. We also recovered RM30,000 in cash under the front seat," he said.

Two hours later, police caught another man, 45, who is believed to be the mastermind of the abduction at his house in Sungai Chua, 2km from the victim's house.

"We recovered RM61,550 from his house before we raided his printing shop at Taman Sepakat Indah, where another RM200,000 was found," he said, adding the man was said to be having financial difficulties.

The man is believed to have known the victim's father through some business dealings.

At the same time, police also picked up the taxi driver, 42, who returned the victim to assist in investigations.

All four men have been remanded for a week.

The taxi driver, who only wanted to be known as Nizam, drove up to the family's home in Taman Cahaya at 5.35pm on Friday, with the child in the back seat and called out to the parents in the house.

"I just found him walking on the road and I recognised him from the WhatsApp messages being circulated," Mr Nizam told The Star.

Comm Abdul Samah praised the public who made the case go viral in social media but called for caution.

"It is good that there is concern by the public but please be careful as sharing without checking with the police may have put the child's life in danger," he said.

The boy, who was sent for a check-up at Kajang Hospital, was given a clean bill of health except for some slight bruises on his arms.

His father, who was met outside their house, said he was not aware of the arrests and called for privacy.

Members of the media also managed to track down the elder brother of the mastermind, 57, who claimed he did not know that his brother had financial problems.

"He is a quiet man and never spoke out about his problems. The last time I saw him was during our father's funeral three weeks ago," said the brother.

He added that he was sad to hear about the case and his brother's arrest but said it was out of his hands.

"Whether or not he is involved, let the police do their job," he said.

Cop jailed 100 years for rape of 13-year-old
Thursday, 24 December 2015
BY MUGUNTAN VANAR

KOTA KINABALU: Former Sabah police anti-vice chief Deputy Supt Rohaizat Abd Ani has been jailed a total of 100 years and given 15 strokes of the rotan for raping and sodomising a 13-year-old girl.

The 56-year-old was found guilty of four counts of rape and one for sodomy which were committed in five separate incidents between February and May 2012.

Sessions Court judge Ainul Shahrin Mohamad imposed the maximum 20-year jail term for each offence.

Rohaizat will have to serve a total of 80 years as the sentence for the first two charges are to run concurrently and the remaining three charges to run consecutively.

Dressed in a dark grey jacket, Rohaizat showed little or no expression as the judge read out the sentence. Rohaizat’s wife, who was also present in the court, did not show any expression as well.

The court granted a stay in execution and fixed bail at RM100,000 with one local surety. Rohaizat must also surrender his international passport to the court.

He must also report to the police on the 1st and 15th day of each month under conditions of the bail, which was posted.

In passing sentence, Ainul agreed with DPP Azeezi Nordin that as a senior police officer, he should be a guardian of the public and not otherwise.

DPP Azeezi, in pressing for a deterrent sentence, said the victim was just 13 years old when she was raped and sodomised by a 52-year-old man.

“It was clearly a total manipulation of an adult on a child,” said the judge.

For the first two charges, Rohaizat is guilty of raping and sodomising the victim on Feb 1, 2012 between 4.30pm and 5.30pm in a hotel room.

He raped the girl again the next day between 12.30pm and 1.30pm in another room of the same hotel.

For the fourth and fifth charges, Rohaizat raped the girl again in the same hotel between May 1 and 6.

Defence lawyer Zahir Shah said they would file an immediate appeal against the sentence.

Rohaizat, who is under suspension, had served as Setiu police chief briefly and was serving as deputy chief of the Federal Reserve Unit in Penang when he was charged in August 2013.

Counsel Mary Lee held a watching brief for the Sabah Women Action Resource Group.

Qbiggest worry now I think is economic situation and currency. The other is racial harmony where some quarter trying to stir shit to distract ppl.

Just wanna comment.based on what I read. I loosely quote since from multiple sources and observations.

1). Places with religious or racial tensions generally have two things in common. A lot of youth and huge unemployment or under employment. One reason why Singapore is still relatively OK is because we have a lot of young but most are kept busy studying or working. Not that many young people have a lot of time to bum around 24/7. It is when people are free and have nothing to lose that they have time and energy to cause trouble.

2). Despite all the education, we are still rather emotional and if we are not occupied, our emotions will override logic. If you read of those who lure young girls to sex, usually the girls are.vulnerable to emotional exploitation. The offenders are usually not very handsome. Same goes for race, same goes for religion. Some believers can be very fervent but if they are busy rushing deadlines for bosses or spending whole day at meetings, they don't have much time or inclination to cause trouble, if for no other reason, more to lose if there is trouble.

Not stating anything but just an observation.
