macrosszero Turbocharged June 18, 2013 Share June 18, 2013 Haha yeah man...nowadays even Euro brands oso MIC...seriously lah. How bloody high can the cost be if you make in Europe? Ask around specifically for Made in Japan, Germany, UK or Czech or whatever, then compare against Made in China, Thailand or Malaysia. Costs can be easily 20% more for similar spec. I bought Korean brand made in Korea......

Pisces69 6th Gear June 18, 2013 Share June 18, 2013 Bosch also has a factory in Poland. When I spoke to the sales guy he told me the top end ($1800) washing machine still from germany. Maybe their cheaper models or other Bosch appliances made in Poland. Reminds me of this Polish joke. How many poles does it take to change a light bulb? Ans: 10. Cos u need 1 to hold the bulb n the other 9 to turn the room around.
Pisces69 6th Gear June 18, 2013 Share June 18, 2013 My Panasonic got about 4 years still ok. I asked about 1 Panasonic washing machine abt $450. Salesman said now panasonic not like b4. The WM is made in Turkey.

Seems now many of their cheaper models made in Thailand already. If made in Korea, Sud still b very good.
Kelloggs 1st Gear June 18, 2013 Share June 18, 2013 The MIJ Sanyo at home has been problem free since 2001. Wash full load 4x a week. I think it's worth paying a little more for MIJ electronics
Kb27 Supersonic June 18, 2013 Share June 18, 2013 Ya bosch is top end. Sud b made in germany. Last time my Bosch washing machine, also made in germany, if I remember correctly. Every 2 years must replaced shocks or it will jump around and make noise like a jackhammer. Cost me initially $1000, and every 2 years $150 to change shocks. After 2 times of shock changes, I had enough and junk it. I bought a F&P top loading, use it for another 7 years before the water pump spoiled,...two times. Junk it. Now use a "free" top loading Toshiba I won as a prize. No problem. Cheap and good. I had enough of expensive front loaders, full of problems. Cheapo top loaders, I can afford to throw away even with 5 yr usage is good enough. When the Toshiba dies, I'll just get another Samsung or LG top loader. I had enough of expensive front loaders. I think it's worth paying a little more for MIJ electronics Sanyo is too reliable and too low profile until bankrupt. Don't think can find new Sanyo stuff except batteries and video cam. I'll take ur advice bro. Front load takes 2x longer to wash n can't load clothes halfway tho saves more water. I oso concerned about silicon lining replacement. On side note, my f&p lasted 2 decades, now is valve slow water flow n electronic outta sort keep go back start cycle. ↡ Advertisement
