Jman888 Moderator June 12, 2015 Share June 12, 2015 Bros, top loader or front loader? I need to get a new WM . . CO wants top loader but I insist on front loader. How arhhh? Don't tell me buy one of each! women prefer top load cos they dun have to squat up and down to load or unload the laundry, and you can stop open and close anytime. ↡ Advertisement
inlinesix Supersonic June 12, 2015 Share June 12, 2015 My previous WM, Ariston, only change belt once & use it for 10 yrs until motor give up on me. Current WM, Ariston, only knob spoil. No big issue.

Front loader, squat. Which one more tiring? Maybe u hv a point. Accede to wife, next time she got no grounds to complain. But, knowing a woman can be pretty persistent, he might be nailed for something else.

Ladykillerz 4th Gear June 13, 2015 Share June 13, 2015 The main purpose to indicate total weight on a washing machine is to warn the couple not to hanky panky on top of it. Haha..

One sit on top to massage the head and the other having ice cream on the ground..... okay, should be able to hold..... ...... else vice versa.... but the one on the ground now would be drinking juices....
Count-Bracula Twincharged June 14, 2015 Share June 14, 2015 Finally, after 2 days of shopping and online research, narrowed down to a LG WFT8061DD washer. Was at BD and C*urts to check out the model. Gave up going to HN 'cos I have this feeling their sales staff always fooling around among themselves and bit bengish. Called GAB to check out tye price but it is only S$50 cheaper and delivery only on Thursday. Cannot as my laundry are piling up. Suprisingly, C*urts online is way much more expensive çompared to shopping at their stores but even more suprising is the branch at Clementi is selling about S$100 cheaper . . . Waiting for delivery tomorrow, hmmmmmm.
Ysc3 Twincharged June 14, 2015 Share June 14, 2015 i still prefer the korean brand...lasting and prices are cheap. my current LG 5.5Kg had been using for the past 12 - 14years. cant even remember the exact year. didnt even breakdown at all. only change the net that collect the dirt. yup ... my >$300 samsung top loader also still going strong after turning 10 years old this year.... and very regular usage too. only the exterior is abit rusted ... but nothing a paint marker can't cover up. really not nec to buy branded stuffs. when i buy electricals, i tend to go for the support than the brand.
Tigerwoods Turbocharged June 14, 2015 Share June 14, 2015 Even since I got married, I only use front loading WM Used these brands before and never use a brand twice. Whirlpool Mayer Bosch LG Now Panasonic which gives me a 12 yr warranty on the motor - that was the reason I bought it as... The last 4 last average only 5-6 yrs. Most spoil due to motor died. Reading most posts say their WM last > 10 yrs - how come mine only half theirs?

Kb27 Supersonic June 15, 2015 Share June 15, 2015 Nowadays I don't spend much money on washing machine. Big and cheap is what I look for. So it's usually top loader at the lowest price. Last time, spend $2k for Bosch front loader, now spend $400 for Samsung top loader. The cheap wm will probably last about the same number of years.
