I thought only vehicle inspection centres are authorised by LTA to do such works as they have the seals and sealing tool.

There is no sealing tool, workshop jus grind away the seal and replace the plate.

But tell those workers to be more careful when they grind away the seal or else they might accidentally grind the bumper

Controlling the seals and tool ( maybe they are using special lock nuts ) is one sure way to prevent tom dick and harry from removing the red plate and replace with standard plate.

Last month i removed my OPC plate at Turf City Grandstrand shop#B63. S$55 for New number plate including cutting OPC seal.

First do the paper work at LTA. Then change number plate within 3 days.
