Hi

Any idea where can I get those black hoses (9-15mm internal diameter) and plugs that can withstand heat in engine bay? Tried those regular plastic ones from hardware shops but cannot stand the heat.

Any shops that specialise in hoses and plugs?

Tks

Can try those hardware shops near sungei/rochor road.

Or you can go to auto supplies shop at veerasamy rd..

If you wan those that can withstand heat, go for silicon hose...that you might have to buy online cheaper

It all depend on on the applications, there are many types of hose and tubes for the engine bay and undercarriage.

Still looking. Now looking for those heat resistant corrugated (flexible) hoses similar to this:

Use GATES fuel injection hose. I know of a particular hose 225psi but quite expensive I bought 7.62M for like $120

Hi

Where to get this?

You can use fuel line hoses. You can get it from "Able Hydraulic & Industrial Supply". Google for address.

I believe the pic of your hose is a PCV return hose. You can use any fuel type of flexible rubber hose. The shop above will have it.

It will be able to withstand heat, oil, fuel vapours and it's reinforced to withstand pressure or vacuum.

Supersonic

Depends on your application.

Silicone hose may be what you need.

It can withstand high temp and doesn't breakdown.

However, if you're using it for vacuum, it needs to be thicker.

My ws put a rubber plug on a hot coolant hose and it breaks down within a couple of months.

I replaced it with silicone plug and it was still intact when I scrapped the van.

Silicone hose is not suitable for oil or fuel vapours. Air and water still ok. The hose TS posted is a PCV return hose. The contents are not just hot air but also hot engine oil and fuel vapours.
