Hi everyone,

 

I'm sure most of us here are pets lovers and have a kind heart towards animals.

An non-profit animal shelter at Pasir Ris is appealing for URGENT help.

HELP US KEEP THEIR HOME!

 

Animal Lovers League (ALL) is now facing a critical situation and we need to raise $40k by end Aug 2013.

 

For over 10 years, ALL has been a refuge for the homeless, a safe haven for the abused and abandoned, and a sanctuary for the old and sick animals.

 

Food, shelter, care and medical expenses for 600 animals cost us more than $30,000 every month and have taken a huge toll on our finances. We are now $40,000 in arrears.

 

Our founders are weary. They have dedicated much of their lives to these animals and now they face the grim possibility of having to give up the home they have created for our 4-legged friends.

I am very weary of these independent "animal shelter"; the last time I saw one financial annual accounts, they pay their founder a good salary; actually do we really need these independent "animal Shelter"; it is kind of a chicken and egg problem; the more shelter you have the more people will buy pets to experiment to see if they can have them at their home; don't get me wrong, I have two dogs, two chinchillas and a rabbit that eats like a pig

 

We also have a dog at home but I dun see a need for me to donate to these shelters although I love pets

Same here, I have 3, one passed on, left with 2, after donating problems still not solve, still asking for more $$$. Homing those poor creatures wont help, pressure the government in tightening the issuing of licenses to those puppy mills and pet shops.

 

Only last month just help a group to build shelter for homing strays now ask for $$$. Monies our Sg government have plenty, go ask them.
