Another one for the 7th month files. I wonder how this happened? Suicide? Spontaneous human combustion? Unfortunate smoking accident?

A woman's charred corpse was found at the Ceylon Sports Club at Balestier Road yesterday morning.

According to Lianhe Zaobao, an eyewitness last saw her on fire at 11.50am, when she fell onto the grass.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force was alerted to the incident and rushed to the scene, but she had already died, reported the Chinese daily.

After her body was removed, the silhouette of her scorched body remained on the grass.

Six women and one man later appeared at the scene, and one of the women who was middle aged and wearing a yellow sari had to be helped to her feet by the others.

The group later went to a nearby HDB estate and met a young man.

This case i think was reported in The New Paper yesterday, apparently the groundsman saw the lady carrying something and walk behind a large white screen before the incident happen. It was reported that they found matches and kerosene behind the screen and the mother of the lady said she was of unsound mind.
