Rear, brand b.

no....better to have same traction on four tyres. But if driven like a grandma, guess its okay :D

if i stick back to 205/50/17, i can do that.

the 3rd tyre, can use as spare.

You can mix 2 brands in one car. But the same brand should be in the same axle.

I have done that before, and travel up North also with such mixture tyres. No problems at all.

Is your spare tyre a space saver? If not, maybe you can use that spare to replace the botak one, provided that spare is in good condition.

don't understand too..

anyway the spare tyre, is a 16'... perdana stock is 16..

I'm using 205/50/17 for now..

actually wanted to go for 18' but big project.. need to replace 4 lug to 5 lug..

may have to change disc and brake..

I'm changing the rear to brembo rotor with ferodo brakes..

wanted to change to 2 or 4 pot in front but due to my stupid rim, cannot fit..

hence, just change to markX bigger rotor.

I know, this are spare money.

already selected my venue, date, justice, now waiting for the diamond ring only :D

Same axle means left and right side the same tyres brand/model. Eg. Front left and right should be brand X, and back left and right should be brand Y.

Of course change all 4 tyres altogether is the best. But sometimes we don't get even wear out of tyres so not economical to change all 4 at the same time.

Since your spare is different to your rims, then can't be used. You have to buy new tyres, no choice.

Here's my checklist on tyres,

a) as new as possible ( check date code )

b) stored away from heat or direct sunlight

c) stored stacked on their sides but not too high

d) firmer sidewalls - for soft suspension

e) if changing 2 tyres, they go to the rear for better traction

f) date of manufacture + useful life of tyres < 3 or 4 years

g) change tyres every 2 years, regardless of thread condition ( rubber hardening )

It is comparatively ok to have front pair brand x rear pair brand y provided the grip level is cpmparable. Dont play with comfort tyres mix with semi slick tyres or equivalent or that will upset your overall traction and causes imbalance in handling quality. Best mix eg csc5 with Eagle A2 for.example. Not like Kh31 with R888.

Must be same design lah...same brand same design/pattern. Don't mix same brand but with difference design/pattern !!!

Eg. that time I had 2x GY Eagle NCT 5 on front. Then 2x Yoko Espac on rear.

No lah, I only know a bit about rubber nia, and the info all from reading MCF or chatting up with mech lor..... :D

so troublesome.. just stick to the same model then.

is it doable if front is 215/45/17 while rear is 225 or 235, profile like 55 or 50 but 17.

This Westlake is from China or Canada ???

Made in China
