Lala81 Hypersonic November 2, 2017 Share November 2, 2017 msig is having 50%. i like that it covers basic adventure sports and also has car rental excess coverage. i usually use MSIG also. Somehow with travellershield, it usually is quite competitive. Not that i've made claims before. Probably just familiarity as i was on their car insurance for a few years

ColinHo Clutched November 8, 2017 Share November 8, 2017 Wow this is perfect. I want to get the same insurance. generally for claims, I would think the reputable ones should be ok (AXA, AIG, MSIG, Sompo) but other than claims, i think looking at the coverage would be good. eg, if you are renting a car, it would be good to have coverage for car excess. or if you are doing some adventure stuff, there should be coverage for adventure activities. given the coming holidays, i think several insurers are having travel insurer discount war.

Actually, all these is not important. The most important & expensive coverage is medical repatriation.
Dleodleo Twincharged November 8, 2017 Share November 8, 2017 I think AIG, EQ and MSIG not bad. generally for claims, I would think the reputable ones should be ok (AXA, AIG, MSIG, Sompo) but other than claims, i think looking at the coverage would be good. eg, if you are renting a car, it would be good to have coverage for car excess. or if you are doing some adventure stuff, there should be coverage for adventure activities. given the coming holidays, i think several insurers are having travel insurer discount war. AXA like abit troublesome. Need airlines original letter in letterhead for flight cancellation claim. I hv to keep chasing airlines for that in order to claim. Mcf777 Turbocharged December 19, 2017 Share December 19, 2017 Anyone buy Annual Travel Insurance from HLAssurance (aka Hong Leong) This Insurance company auto-renew my annual travel insurance policy without notifying me and charged the amount to my credit card. This clause is not stated in the (before the purchase) Brochure T&C. Very unethical of them to auto-renew in this way. I had just cancelled my credit card in case of any more charges for my family members.

Mcf777 Turbocharged December 19, 2017 Share December 19, 2017 What was their reply when you contacted them? They say will look into it and cancel the policy. Auto renewal TnC clause, is only stated when they email out the policy (not before the purchase) Really pissed me off. That's why I called bank to cancelled card to avoid any future deduction. I've never bought annual ones before, and never considered whether it's good value... I got a policy from HLA for my recent Jap trip, and must say their package was quite decent, and even got a few dollars discount for renting the changi wifi. But if they do such unethical stuff, then really

Insurance doesn't us to make profit out of it. If wana claim both then you will have to claim 50% from A and 50% from B. ↡ Advertisement
