if you have time for only one movie this year, you got to watch Gravity.

This movie is insane! You got to watch 3D, don't waste money on the normal 2D. I am not a 3D fan, I hate to use bulky glasses only to be dissapointed by the effects in most shows. But you will kick yourself if you don't watch Gravity on 3D. Better still, watch it on IMAX

The camerawork is like nothing done before. So often both Sandra and George is like right in front of me and when things explode and start flying around, there is almost an urge to start dodging for cover. There was one scene that I felt the entire cinema was rotating....it's just awesome. This is how movies should be done.....not just the story but to also bring the audience right into the scene and make everything feel alive.

It's only 90 minutes show, but it will be one of the most awesome 90 minutes of visual effects that you have ever seen on a big screen.

Here is the trailer :

Don't eat too full though before watching this. My friend next to me felt weightlessness in one scene and he told me it made him dizzy for awhile. I didn't feel that though. I think some people may feel moton sickness if they can't take it.

watched it this noon..i tot it was ok only. something fresh but not really must watch.

Depends on what one is looking for. The story is simple, the cast is only two, so for pple who wants suspense, twist, drama, there really ain't.

What it offers is the technology marvel of camerawork and movie making. Some scenes had me wonderng how did they do it? This movie took 4.5 years to shoot for that 90 minutes scene! Infact, for most scenes, there isn't any existing tools that could help the director so they build those tools and technology. Hence if the audience is one whom appreciate such things, then it will be one thrill of a ride for him. And if you like stars and space, then the entire show becomes a spectaculor.

And remember, must watch in 3D. Only 3D on the largest screen you can find will do. IMAX is the best.

Check out this review. Exactly on how I would think of this movie : http://gizmodo.com/gravity-review-all-blockbusters-should-be-this-intimat-1441097308

found Gravity above average but not outstanding. Nice music and photography. 90 mins run time just nice, second half was somewhat draggy.

90 mins for action in space? i know this kinda film can be done. There was this film by Ryan Reynolds, 90mins buried in sand and it was only him in that small space.

anyway, maybe Insidious 2 is a better bet. I really 'enjoyed' Conjuring. Seem to be same actors again.

Incredible show.. Caught it at IMAX last night

However, I feel this kind of show doesn't appeal very much to locals. it appeals more to people who awe at space, 3D technology and the art of fantastic movie-making. Locals are more interested in drama, explosion, action-packed and thrillers. The louder the boom in front of their face, the better.

My first impression when I saw this movie is that it reminded me of Transformers the Ride at Universal Studios albeit not as quick in its panning action. Some scenes in Gravity got me clenching on my seat, with my stomach feeling some sort of weightlessness. You know what I mean if you've been to some roller coaster ride and you are going through a drop. There are also some scenes that I feel "floating" with my hands feeling for the seat again just to make sure I am still sitting down. It's that freaking real. The 3D in this IMAX show is extremely immersive and tells me that IMAX format is actually not dead; it's just that too many crappy 3D movies in the past.

IMO, this is not just a movie...it is more of an experience. You feel each scene in your guts and in your bones; not just the emotions of it which is common among most good movies. My only problem with the show is that some emotional part of it tends to be draggy; this is a visual show, not an emotional drama show and for a 90 minutes show, there is really no time for the emotional bits.

Overall, this is movie making at its best. Hollywood has just raise the bar again with this show. Fantastic is all I can say. Afterall, how many movies could get a 98% rating from the movie critics around the world who mostly enjoy bashing movies than to praise them?

Caught the movie over the holiday. No Doubt it's one of the best movie in 2013 but I can't help to feel that it's still way overhyped by marketing.

As mentioned earlier, this is a movie that must be watched in 3D with the biggest screen you can find. It's unfortunate that I watched in a moderately small threatervscreen, although in 3D, doesn't feel you are there due to the pathetic screen size. Hence don't wait for the DVD or Blu-ray, it's meant for the big screen.

The pace of the movie is great and action starts 5mins into the movie all the way to the end, with some surprising "twists" The film is 90mins. Sounds short but with the pace of the intensity I say it's just about right. Also 90mins is a significant number in the movie so it may be deliberate (spoilers hint?)

There are some homages to other sci-fi films like "2001:Space Odyssey" and "The planet of the Apes 60s version". A must if you're an old school sci-fi fan.

lol, you close your eyes you think you're watching porn...

Anyway for the tikos, if you a watch 3D, you get to see Sandra Bullock's shorts in 3D at some scenes.
