How about the grip?

I'm quite ok with tyres wearing out fast, but must have good grip.

anyone knows if there are better alternatives to this for 195/60/15?

CPC5 is the best option for grip...but wear off quite fast. A bit loud also and fuel efficiency is erratic (very good at high speeds, very bad at lower speeds/traffic based on my onboard computer..dont know why).

Used XM2, Yoko DB, ER300 before, love the CPC5 the best cause of the confidence in the grip, especially in the wet. Very soft sidewall which some may hate (or a blessing).

XM2 for best fuel efficiency and good overall

CPC5 for best grip and good overall, very soft sidewall and very bad wear rate. Mine less than 10k, outer edge already more than 1/2 gone.

Yoko DB for best sound and ....... best sound. Dont bet your life on its wet performance.

ER300 is a decent tyre overall, above avg in everything but excel in none.

Hi Ungtiong,

Any comments on PS3 and Vredestein Sportrac 5?

Are they quiet, grip wise and fuel efficiency?

I just got the PS3 n still testing it out.

Seems a quiet tire n grip on wet also is good.

Mine is 205/50/16. price is abit on the high side but I dun mind spending more for good grippy tires n if this one is quiet, thats a bonus. I heard its quite lasting too.

Hi Pisces,

Im on 205/55/16. Currently running on conti premium 2. Its also a quiet tyre on good tarmac. But noisy on wear out tarmac.

Im thinking of 4 tyres to choose from?

1) PS3

2) Vredestein Sportrac 5

3) CPC 5

4) P7 Cinturato

Im not looking at tracking or racing but at comfort, quietness, fuel efficiency and grip.

Anyone try these tyres before?

I was previously on PS3 and now on CPC2. 205/55/16

I find great confidence on PS3 in the wet.

Comfort CPC2, noise about the same.

FC CPC2 much better.

I would like to try CSC3 next :)

Yes I see the feedback on CSC3 seems better than CPC5. Even CPC2 seems better than CPC5.

I not sure why but maybe CPC5 is a scaled down tire cos its quite cheap compared to the others.

Furrynadz,

Thanks for the comment. Then I will opt out CPC 5.

I already find that CPC 2 threadwear is not good.

Cheap yes, think CPC5 cost less than $350 for 4 tyres - size 185/65/15
