Cold start steering near full lock grinding sound

Anyway know based on the above condition. What could be wrong?

 

I have been experienced some sort of grinding noise around the front area of my vehicle upon steering when I'm moving of my carpark lot usually full lock steering. This only happens when moving off and not an issue when moving or parking into a lot.

 

It only happens when I just did my vehicle alignment few days ago..

If this problem only started after u did the alignment, I suggest u go back to the place n chk with the mech who did the alignment for u.

 

Or it it the sound of yr tires gripping the floor that makes the sound??????

Well not really much of a concern though as it only happens abt 10% of the time.. Think not the ground as it is standard road surface unless indoor parking.

Prob the mech adjust yr alignment too much out of specs.

 

Maybe tire rubbing on fender?

 

Or camber too far out n the wheels or something rubbing against something.

 

I think the guy who did yr alignment did a farked up job fr u then.

Could a number of stuffs - alignment, shock mounts / stoppers, lower arm / subframe / crossmember bushings, steering rack issue. Have someone help u listen to the source of noise when repeating the steering action or listen by urself w someone u trust to safely steer ur vehicle when stationary, do it on smoother / wet ground if noise could still be heard to avoid more wear on steering or tyres. Check for any rubber boot tear n steering fluid leakage that causes ur rubber boot to be damp. Retighten lower arm n subframe / crossmember FIRST just to be sure the nuts r not slightly loosen n causing the squeak. If u r not able to carry out these, please refer to a competent mechanic.

 

Above is just my recent experience.
