I have been saying to make a video of driving experience I have in Germany to share for MCF for a while. So here we go.

i actually took video of drving in Autobahn, but the stretch I drive is pretty boring (in terms of scenery), so I deleted it, to make space to make the video above.

Hope you guys like it. If there is demand, I will make one on Autobahn (on a more scenic drive), maybe in the Alpine & some more scenic zones as well.

Nice!!!

What about driving in swtizerland and see the Alps? Its not too far off right ? ^_^

Driving down South to the Apline area isn't too far. About 500 km drive from where I live, I can reach the Bavarian Alps, a little more will be Austrian Alps. On the South West route, I can reach Swiss Alps in about slightly longer distance. The Black forest Area also not too bad, & not as far.

there are also some local mountains (not as high as Alps or scenic as Alps of course) not too far (with hour plus drive) where there are ski resorts, hiking optiosn.

I make sure to take video when I am in a scenic road. I will be going skii in coming weeks, so stay tune. I try to provide some useful information about driving there also, like this video.

Which part of Germany are you living?

I often travel to Gottingen and travel to a lot of place within 200km radius.

Mountain near Gottingen like Brocken are beautiful during winter and summer.

Mitte Hessen, in West Middle Germany.

Nature is always beautiful. Even Mount Faber & Bukit Timah looks great in its own right, if you take time to appreciate.

But I find the most beautiful houses in Germany are in the south, in the hilly/mountainous area, & they always decorates the balcony with flowers in the warmer months. My parent was with me last Summer, & they cannot praise enough.

Like these. Only thing is if you wanted to own one of these, you must love gardening, & take care of plants, otherwise, your house will become eyesore of the town.

I found that driving in Germany B road is more fun than driving on Autobann. On B road, can drive through beautiful countryside and small town.

Nice,

Yap, the Autobahn is just for speed freak, once the novety wears off, you will prefer the country roads. the only thing I hate is driving through town with all the speed cams. Not that I drive fast, but sometimes, they place it so front that you did not have time to drop to 50km/h from 100km/h from the B road, especially if you missed the yellow town sign. I got a ticket before because of this.

In the summer, the bike gangs are out in force, but unlike in Hollywood movies, they are just usual nice normal guys. The quads bike gangs as well. Last summer, my dad even took a picture of a custom 3 wheelers with its owner at the pump.

There also organise Alpine summer bike tours, I seen them on TV. Its like bikers fantasy come true, I see if I can find the video on youtube, later when I am back home. Almost made me want to learn to ride a bike.

Thanks for all the infos.

Kiv to Germany/Austria/Italy end of Nov this year.

Fly to Frankfurt - drive to Stuttgart (Mercedes Benz Museum), Munich, Leaning tower of Pisa, neuschwanstein castle, Manarola liguira, canals in venice etc.

How do i know which part of autobahn has no speed limits?

Possible to drive at the grossglockner alpine road (late nov to early dec period)?

Any other advice?

Lufthansa airlines seems reasonable, around 1K.

Likely book Hertz with "never go lost "as usual.

Look out for the speed limit sign. Normally at down slope, winding and more heavy traffic road, there will be speed limit.

During bad weather, speed limit will also be imposed, just look out for those led display sign.
