That is close, bro. Good thing u did not full throttle.

Despite many deadly examples of beating red lights, there are still some seemingly desperate not to waste one second more... To end up with having time forever gone.

Take care..... and keep well too ya.

Safe ride

Cheers

thanks bro! Yes, I never full throttled at junctions for the longest time and good thing the car behind me was also fast to react, else i get rear-ended.

Agree that we should always drive defensively and prepare for the unexpected! Stay safe and alert always!!

After the Falarli accident, I make it a point to check either side before moving off when the light turns green.

Just to play safe as there are still many red-light chionging clowns out there... <_<

This is very common nowadays. You can see 3-4 vehicles still crossing happily and nonchalently after green light in your favour.

Also noticed the junction heading towards Jurong Port, the traffic signalling is a bit different from few weeks back. The timing seems erratic and too many cases of beating red lights recently. And there is no notice warning about traffic light timing thingy.

Sometimes, the traffic light turned green, then in less than 5 seconds, it turned red again. Barely enough for 3 cars to cross in this heavily used road. This is extremely dangerous on this stretch of 70km/hr speed limit road with heavy vehicles.

At the rate things are going, the 2-second rule (moving off after light is in your favour) is obsolete liao.

I hereby declare 5-second rule is the new 2-second rule!!!

Are we talking about the same location?

At the junction depicted below early morning on a daily weekday basis, [hur] drivers continue to turn right even though the other vehicles from Potong Pasir Ave 1 have the right-of-way coming out when the light shows green in their favour.

Geee, maybe they have some all-powerful anti-collision talisman inside their rides?

Nope, I am referring to Joo Long area. Anyway, it's similar in nature.

And strangely, nobody horned in horny Singapore roads for many occassions I encountered. [rolleyes]
