Darryn Turbocharged February 25, 2014 Share February 25, 2014 Hmmm..... This is rather interesting f someone behind him "expected me to sit bolt upright for however many hours because he/she hadn't done a PowerPoint presentation before flying to deliver it, rather than me being able to lean back comfortably and read a book or watch a film I would struggle not to laugh at his/her arrogance as I reclined my seat", Edgson said. As someone that can never sleep, and doesn't like to "rest" on planes (Iike to sit relatively upright) I seldom recline my seat. Also, when travelling for work - I do like to do at least some work on the plane. Reclining seats do make this very difficult - so the time on the flight is rather wasted... Whadda reckon? ↡ Advertisement

Sabian Turbocharged February 25, 2014 Share February 25, 2014 (edited) Other than meal times, you have the right to lower your seat. If his work is that important, pay for an preferred seat or business class seat. Edited February 25, 2014 by Sabian
Ichibawa 5th Gear February 25, 2014 Share February 25, 2014 Yup I do work on flights. Last minute changes or updates to reports or presentation. Not really a lot of entertainment on the plane anyway so just do something and have more time to spare after I have landed.

1fast1 Supersonic February 25, 2014 Share February 25, 2014 I recline, but before I do so I *always* turn my head around and check that the person is not eating, etc. It's very rude to recline without these niceties. Would I abstain from reclining if the person is not eating but instead using a laptop, etc.? Hmm...depends on my mood and how nice they are. But if I'm feeling really tired, I'll tell them I need to take a rest and I'll be reclining shortly so they should take care of their things. It's every passenger's right to use the aircraft facilities fully as intended (including the reclining seats). But it's important to have a little grace while doing so.

Some say if the flight takes place during office hours, we are expected to continue working as if we haven't left our office desk!!! But if the person's daily work involves entertaining, he may find someone on the plane to entertain!! If his daily office routine is surfing mcf n daydreaming, he shouldnt feel any difference on a flight. Anyway, not all bros fly so often, including me, but if I do fly, I m happy there will be no phone calls, whatsapps, etc to disturb me for the few hours of peaceful n private moments to do nothing, something a slacker like me find it no hard to endure/enjoy. One downside for those who must ---- cannot surf porn!!! Edited February 25, 2014 by Super7
Darryn Turbocharged February 25, 2014 Author Share February 25, 2014 Its a touchy subject - if the person in front reclines, then I am seriously cramped and feel uncomfortable with someone so close - so I will recline to get away from them (rather than because I want to) Furthermore, yep - you are fully entitled to use the facilities - which makes it a design issue - its really bad design if your use of the facilities impacts me so severely. Better still, my seat's tv screen low quality type, her front body is reflected clearly when I tilt it at the correct angle with my eyes slanting a bit! Time flies on such flights!!
