Hi,

Everyone knows that we could have huge saving on regular car servicing and or maintenance job in JB, but i know not many drivers are taking the risk.

So what is your concern?

1. not familiar with the route to the workshop?

2. not familiar with the local charges for the repair job?

3. not familiar with the mechanic in the workshop there?

4. not sure if the replacement parts used is original?

Main concern is whether reconditioned parts are sold as "new" parts, and if the engine oil is recycled oil.

5. and many many concerns...

would you opt for sending your car to JB for repairs if you found a

trustworthy workshop that could answer your concerns?

Anyone knows any workshop that can work out diagnostic based on obd?

I have come across too many workshops that only use obd to search for fault code. No fault code means nothing wrong to them .....

Are the original parts cheaper than SG prices?

Getting an old Estima, any good workshop for changing parts, suspension, oxygen sensor, radiator, air con compressor  etc.

IN JB? Estima quite common there and is cheaper, yours is ACR 30 or ACR50?

Guys ! I found a spare part shop which more reasonable and good to share with all of you to same the money here.

Sometimes we must take a bit times to do survey and resources research., for instance of my case, radiator replacement in workshop and or service centre will be loss thousand over SGD dollars. However if i go in JB purchase the parts for them to replace (Just Pay for labour) will be a great saving.

Malaysia Toyota Centre Authorized Workshop Terbau City quoted me as - Original new radiator parts (RM 936.40) + Coolen (RM 52 x 3 = $156), Labour cost RM 120 +++.

But when i go to purchase direct will be at - Original new radiator parts (RM 650.00) + Coolen (RM 20 x 3 = RM 60), Labour cost (i bring in singapore to do)..

See the cost saving :),.. if your wish to know more from me will share with u..

can u share where u bought ur toyota original radiator? tq

For me i got a few bad experience in getting my car service in JB.

example : my aircon filter was changed to the non original brand, change O ring in jb in the end still got oil leak

For now I always go to a workshop that was recommended by my friend. (I am just a customer)
They are very honest and doesn't hard sell. Car got no issues ever since.

I ever changed parts in JB, i think the workmanship in SG is better even thou the mechanics here are also all from Msia.

i think it all depends on the shop itself however repairing in JB means u have to spend time there and in case there's anything you need to go back to the shop then it will be quite inconvenient.

Bro u can try to go to my friend's workshop in Bukit Indah JB. Shop name is RFA racing. He's a nice and honest fella. Previously I sent my Latio to his shop regularly for servicing. PM me if u wan his contact and address.
