Last post here was in 2016. I'm digging this up to see if anyone is using or used Pirelli P1 Cinturato since then and able to give a review?

P1 is made in China now so I have mixed feelings about the P1.

ChemChina is a major shareholder of Pirelli.

Thanks for stating the obvious. I'm looking for users of the P1 for their feedback.

My OC mini comes w/P1 RFT.

If not for ROI, I would have ditched lt long ago.

1. Lousy grip. One kup and immediately can feel car starts to slide.

2. Maybe due to RFT, ride is harsh.

3. Noisy like MIL, non stop yanking.

4. Wet grip in car park tarmac cmi. 1 quick turn and the tyres lost the grip even at moderate slow speed.

Thanks, I read your feedback earlier.

Just wondering if the P1 normal one would be any different, given that yours is P1 RFT model.

I used P7 Cinturato before and I felt it was ok.

I used to be on P7 before. P1 is nothing like 7.

My guess the tyre compound should be similar other than the stiffer side wall.

Avoid it if can.

Sounds like P1 is really crap :D

For grippy comfort and fuel efficient tyres, I recommend Kumho Ecowing (China made) and Dunlop SP1 Touring (Indonesian made).

If budget permits, go for the Thai made Michelin XM2.

Dunlop SP1 touring is a super hard compound tire. And it’s loud. I would say Avoid. Kumho PS31 is just that few bucks more and a much better tire.
