HPB's data is outdated..the food pyramid was based on a erroneous research in the 70s with agricultural lobbyists backing it..the actual food pyramid should totally exclude sugar/rice/wheat/noodles/grains/bread/pasta totally from the pyramid..for the past 40 years people had been adopting the wrong diet regime & gotten fat/obese/diabetic/cancerous as a result

Yes, actually now more people are being informed via the internet. And not just rely on the health authorities to tell them what to do.

Supersonic

As with anything else, eat eggs with moderation, together with a wide variety of food.

I eat at least 3 eggs a day.

2 being half boiled every morning. I do not think i have any problems.

They are easy to finish and good for people with little time for breakfast.

For me it is just plain lazy and it fills my stomach and it is much better than white rice.

But the side effect is loads of air and smelly farts! [sweatdrop]

flatulence may not be caused by eggs as they rarely cause it..perhaps cow's milk/dairy/beans may be the culprits

Actually I also tried raw ones.

Would daily detox helps?

Can install charcoal filters?

Is it because you look like an egg to her?

Let us hope they do not also throw rotten egg(s) in.

Perhaps eat eggs can helpyou lengthen your short life.

One egg when reducing weight. Two eggs when taining for competition. [:p]

Egg-lovers may spend less on other food. Some marketing strategy to seduc the egg-lovers. Dietition said cholesterol helps protect against cancer.

I always have 2 x Daiso charcoal deodoriser in my car. [lipsrsealed]

CNA: Carbs more harmful than saturated fats

Long-derided saturated fats - associated with an array of health problems such as heart disease - caught a break on Friday (Nov 21) when research revealed their intake could be doubled or even nearly tripled without driving up their level in a person's blood.

Carbohydrates, meanwhile, are associated with heightened levels of a fatty acid linked to increased risk for diabetes and heart disease, the same study showed.

"The point is you don't necessarily save the saturated fat that you eat, and the primary regulator of what you save in terms of fat is the carbohydrate in your diet," senior author Jeff Volek of Ohio State University, said in the report.

the CNA's facebook comments were mostly filled with disbelievers that carbohydrates is bad & fats are good [dizzy]

If you eat hard boiled egg, cholesterol will not be a problem.

I eat 2~3 eggs a day if possible, I eat the small egg or 'new born egg' (新生蛋).

My mum does this, eat white and throw away yolk!

I've been trying to convince her that it's alright to eat the whole egg but she doesn't believe me but instead prefers to listen to the old myth.

I'm trying to search for some scientific proof that eating yolk is OK but so far don't seem to be able to find anything, If we are eating together, I end up eating her yolk plus my whole egg so as not to waste it!!

If you eat local dishes near daily basis, I do not think you need to eat additional egg. Every other local delights seems to have egg(s) added.

I eat more (chicken) eggs than chickens for sure. Farmed chickens are bad. Frozen chicken meat especially those with flesh in blue black colour is the worst. Taste horrible too!

talk about moderation..how many times per week(out of 21 meals) do you consume chicken?

Everything is harmful when taken in excess.

See those skinny, not enough to eat people ?

They probably live too long to consistently being hungry.

I take about 10 to 15 eggs a week :) mostly fried or soft boil.

We have a big family so we buy 30 eggs at a time which they sell at ntuc or Giant. But I feel they are small. Hence if do a egg bf I normally take 4 which fills up the same as the 2 in the coffee shops.
