9-5 [thumbsup]

:D

Coming from a ex saab owner, there is no doubt that another saab is on the card.

But have to dig into research and find out what are the availability of spare parts.

I tend to believe like VW, many of the engine parts can be shared with opel insignia as both have identical engine.

Hope I am right on this.

Yes, 9-5 is gorgeous.

I read less than 12k units was produced before production was hauled. In other words, it's a risk.

If you have to choose between S80 and 9-5NB, which would be your choice?

9-5 without a doubt.

9-5 and 523i?

I'll take the 5.

Slower but more agile

Price slightly more ex but parts are way cheaper than Saab.

Trips to the workshop?

About the same.

when my 5er time is up in about 6 months time, would like to try other makes.

volvo i never own before and sure the s80 look is dated but i simply love the executive look.

another option is the insignia that looks handsome but pale against 9-5, be it size or feel.

Hi

Need your advice.

Bought a 2007 Saab convertible in May last year. Left six months (Dec) before deregistration.

At the moment, the mileage is around 97K.

Do you think it is advisable to renew its COE for another ten years ?

Just concerned about the availability of spare parts.

TIA

NO issue to go another decade, imo

There are a dozen that had their COE renew twice

Do you know where I can get the spare parts?

Neo brothers of UK. You will be amazed by the part price.

I am contemplating on the 9-5 NB but is short of confidence not in engine but the panel if I needed to replace one.

Not that many 9-5NB was made worldwide then.

I just love Saab cars. The drive is just amazing.

Totally agree,

though only started driving the Saab last May and the car was already 8 1/2 years old then.

Unwilling to let go so most probably will renew its COE.

Thank you for the info! It gives me more confidence in extending the COE for another 10 years.

Really enjoy driving the car.

There is another workshop where the former Saab owner went to
